The C3S Agriculture Service provides high-quality, user-relevant climate data products across multiple timescales, supporting both short-term decision-making and long-term planning in agricultural systems.

By bridging advanced climate science, cutting-edge data engineering, and deep stakeholder engagement, the service aims to empower users at all levels—from policymakers and researchers to farmers and advisors—with actionable, accessible climate information, drawn from global and European datasets.

What the service provides

Seven building blocks

Historic, near-real-time, seasonal forecast, and climate projection indices relevant for agricultural decision-making.

A collection of Jupyter notebooks and scripts enabling advanced users to access datasets and reproduce and adapt computations locally.

User configurable and automatically generated reports allowing users to define reporting parameters (geographic area, crop type, or weather/climate event).

An interactive tool to browse, search and explore data, from past observations to seasonal forecasts and future projections.

A region-specific pilot integrating data, decision-support tools, and adaptation–mitigation modules.

Explore story maps and case studies highlighting real-world applications and success stories.

For end-users to engage in real-time with climate and agricultural experts, and discuss implications for agricultural decision-making.

Regular operational bulletins summarizing current conditions and forecasts for key agroclimatic indicators.
